Rotherwas Munitions Factory.

The Rotherwas National Filling Factory (NFF No14, Hereford) was built in haste in 1916, half way through WW1. It was one of a dozen new Munitions Factories created to make sure this problem didn’t occur again. It survived a Luftwaffe bombing raid and a huge internal explosion during the Second World War, but has fallen foul to the ravages of neglect since it was shut down in 1967.

These images explore the relationship between place and space and how this building although closed down and left in ruin can still be inspirational and useful to those who know where to find it..........
